Death is not always a pleasant subject to think or talk about; even if I already know, as many people that we all are going to die someday, in a way or another, at any age; it is sad but true, especially when it happen to people around you. Also, as philosophers once said “we cannot fear something not yet experienced” like death, I agree, but personally I still have a little fear about dying, not because I denied it, but because I like very much to be alive. I prefer not to think much about my own death, I know someday it will happen, so I just hope it will be in many years, and be somehow careful.
Something I know, because of an experience, that when people are suffering a lot with a mortal illness in the final stages, they began to accept more their death than before, like they prefer to die than to suffer more, and they are completely conscious and ready for it. Maybe this sounded weird, but I guess that in our final stage of life, it is the point when we really are ready for it, for our death; except if it is an accident, and you die unconscious, you didn’t have time to think about it.

Anthony I think what you are saying here is very interesting, because I too believe everyone has a certain fear of dying because we don't know much about what will happen. However I think that being alive is something that we should care about more and I agree when you say that one shouldn't think about death as much.
ResponderEliminarAlso I think what you say of having a mortal illness very true, I suppose when people are near death and they know it its easier for them to embrace death. I enjoyed reading your post.
Hi Anthony! I agree with you in many things! Especially when you say that we all are scared of dying! I’ve never got a close relative that has died so I really don’t have a clue of how does death works, I’ve only got some apparently close experiences with death and it was awful! So, maybe that makes me be even more scared.
ResponderEliminarBut I think that we just should let go and live, of course… being responsible and careful! But what I mean is just living for the moment and taking any further chances that life may give us.
I Totally agree on what you are saying. That people usally avoid this kind of topics because they ara afraid of them. Most of the people really don't want to know when are they going to die. I really prefer to don't know that information. Also I agree what you are saying that people when they are going to die at first they try to combat the death and try to live more but later when suffering and pain comes they accept their death, and they want to die because they are suffering a lot. This happend to my grandfather.
ResponderEliminarBeing face to face with death for a period of time makes us accept it at last Since people who are close to deathknow that death can come anytime for them, they rather welcome her like an old friend than live their last breath with fear. i heard that this acceptance makes people live their last days/months/year with an inner peace.

antoni your post is very deep it made me think more about us dyeing and accepting i agree alot with you when you said that you dont want to dye and when you dye you wish it would be carefoully , i have the same idea , and its very thrut were you said that people accept more death in the final stage of life because when someone is healty and young its very scary to accept death we dont even want to think about it and sometimes we dont even notice death
ResponderEliminarI think it is the most natural thing to be afraid of death, even just a little, because no one really knows what happens and the unknown is always scary, at least for me. But the thing that scares me the most about death is not have live enough, done enough, experience enough. Like you I am too a little bit scare, but who isn’t?
